The PSI Alliance released a newsletter recently that is available on the PSI Alliance website which features a list of the PSIA members who have implemented or are planning to implement the IP Media Device or RaCM specification. The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) is a global consortium of about 50 physical security manufactures and system integrators with a focus on promoting interoperability of IP based security devices across all segments of the security industry. The PSIA was founded in February 2008 and has continued to increase support ever since. Provided below is a list of members with products already available or soon to be available that support the PSI Alliance and the specifications created. An announcement was recently made by Milestone Systems that Hikvision network cameras and video encoders are now supported within the XProtect IP video management platform. Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is one of the leading suppliers for digital video surveillance products in the world. Hikvision product support inclusion within the Milestone XProtect IP video management platform shows the strength and importance of both the Milestone XProtect and Hikvision brands. Hikvision has now been added to a list of more than 75 security and surveillance device manufactures supported under the Milestone XProtect platform.
Hikvision products now supported within the Milestone XProtect platform include the DS-6104HCI quad channel video encoder, the DS-6101HFI single channel video encoder and a wide range of IP cameras from the DS-2CD7XX series and DS-2CD8XX series of cameras. Hikvision network product support will be provided with the release of Milestone Device Pack 4.6 which is expected next month.
