The IP Camera Guru website has added a multimedia section that will showcase videos and images of new products and product demonstrations. The Media section will also showcase other multimedia that is in direct relation to IP network surveillance. The purpose of the new multimedia section is to allow for people to see what IP network surveillance products look like and how these products function in different environments. This will help people to gain an understanding of how IP network video surveillance works and may also help to direct consumers to the correct products for their intended application.
The Media section will be updated as more media becomes available from various IP network surveillance product manufacturers. There were three videos recently added that show how three different Vivotek IP cameras function. Please click on the link provided below to be taken to the Media page.

Japan Network Communications, Inc, ACTi’s partner in Japan, successfully implemented IP surveillance system into a Chain Restaurant in Tokyo.

There are more than 5 restaurants that had installed
ACTi IP Surveillance Systems. Each restaurant is composed of 2 units of the 1.3 Megapixel IP dome cameras (
ACM-3411) and 1 unit of the 1.3 Megapixel IP PTZ (
ACM-8211) with the management and recording by ACTi NVR Enterprise network surveillance software.
The purpose of installing an IP surveillance system is for monitoring each restaurant from the remote head office. Mr. Itou, sales director of Japan Network Communications, Inc said that IP sureveillance systems are more cost-effective compared with CCTV systems. Especially with ACTi IP camera supporting DDNS. It saved the cost of using a fixed IP address for each store. Also the NVR web client provides easy remote montioring functions.
