Vivotek Products Innovate Childcare Services via Daycare Webwatch

January 13th, 2010 admin Comments off
Vivotek Daycare Webwatch

Toronto based Daycare Webwatch is transforming traditional methods of childcare services and is giving parents added peace of mind when leaving their children in the care of others. Through the technology of IP network video surveillance and Vivotek IP network video surveillance products, Daycare Webwatch provides the ability for parents to monitor their children through live camera video feeds that are accessible to parents over the Internet. This added level of surveillance allows parents who have placed the care of their child to others the ability to check in on their child and obtain peace of mind knowing they can easily see what happens throughout the course of the day.

Currently, the Vivotek VS2403 video server devices are used to convert the existing analog surveillance cameras to digital video feeds that are then accessible locally on the local network and remotely via the Internet. The VS2403 provides a secure video feed to authorized users and also adds the capability of providing privacy masking. The VS2403 is also capable of handling motion detected events and will allow for alarm notification with pre and post event snapshots available for viewing. The Vivotek VS2403 will allow for up to four analog camera connections per video server. With the continued advancement in IP camera technology, Daycare Webwatch will soon be transitioning to a complete IP based solution with IP camera devices providing better image quality and higher frame rates than traditional analog surveillance cameras systems.

Vivotek Press Release Excerpt:
Daycare Webwatch, in less than ten years, has expanded their local business in Toronto to all of North America, with care centers ranging from San Diego, California to Orlando, Florida, and many locations in between. With the increased value proposition from using VIVOTEK products, Daycare Webwatch has prominently differentiated itself from its competition. “It is a very competitive business and any additional value-added service allows a childcare center to differentiate itself. If a parent is choosing between two centers and one has our viewing system, they choose our center every time,” says MacDonald.

Vivotek 3GPP Support – PDA and Mobile Devices FAQ

December 16th, 2009 admin Comments off

Vivotek

Vivotek now includes 3GPP mobile surveillance support with Vivotek IP camera and video server devices. 3GPP mobile surveillance support will allow for live video from an IP camera or video server to display on a 3G compatible PDA, cell phone or iPhone. This added functionality allows for remote video surveillance on an entirely new level by removing the barriers of having to visit stationary locations in order to access an IP video surveillance network. Instead, users can access video from any location where they are able to receive a 3G mobile signal. Because of this added functionality, Vivotek has posted a FAQ on their website which is designed to help provide support for users of Vivotek products who wish to properly configure remote access to their network video devices via a mobile device.

Be sure to check out the Vivotek FAQ section for full details on setting up 3GPP mobile access for your mobile devices. The Vivotek FAQ section also has information on other commonly asked questions for configuration and support also.

Since winning the opportunity to host the 2016 Olympic Summer Games, security has been a major priority in Brazil. Security has not only been a concern for the Brazilian government but for ordinary citizens who also wish to place a strong focus on increasing security leading into the 2016 Olympic Summer Games. With this in mind, a residential community in Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently decided to install a Vivotek IP network video surveillance system based on the recommendation put forward by Alphi-Digi, a distributor of Vivotek products on Brazil.

The Vivotek IP7330 and TC5330 network cameras were chosen for this application which placed a strong emphasis on affordability in conjunction with product quality. Vivotek was able to provide network cameras that provide a high level of quality while still remaining affordable. The Vivotek TC5330 network camera was installed inside each building in the lobby, elevator, stairway and underground parking lot areas. The Vivotek IP7330 network camera was installed in outdoor areas due to its weather proof, Day/Night design where frequent light changes and exposure to rain and dust can be a concern. The IP7330 is designed for use within this these types of areas.

Vivotek Press Release Excerpt:
This condominium community in Sao Paulo consists of seven high occupancy buildings, which means that management and maintenance can pose great challenges for the managers. Fortunately, with VIVOTEK’s IP surveillance system, the managers can keep an eye on every building, inside and out, anytime, anywhere. This surveillance system has enabled the manager to achieve the ultimate goal of providing a secure and comfortable living environment for residents in a way that is both efficient and cost-effective. “Using VIVOTEK’s network cameras, we can monitor activities inside and outside of the building 24 hours a day, which saves us a great deal of time,” said the condo manager.
